Insights from Ger Vang’s Spiritual Journey

Ger Vang is a Hmong shaman who fully embraced his spiritual calling in 2012. He comes from a long lineage of shamanism, following in the footsteps of both his grandfather and father, who were respected shamans in their time. Before stepping into his spiritual path, Ger built a successful career in business. He earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration, followed by a Master of Business Administration, and pursued entrepreneurship with determination and ambition. While focused on his professional journey, Ger began to encounter moments that would quietly shape his future. In 2006, he met a Hmong shaman who told him he possessed a spiritual gift. At the time, he acknowledged it but continued to focus on his business goals. In 2008, another shaman confirmed the same message—that he was spiritually gifted. Still, Ger chose to continue along his established path. It wasn’t until 2012, when a third shaman delivered the same insight, that Ger could no longer ignore the calling. Recognizing the consistency and depth of these messages, he accepted his spiritual path and stepped fully into his role as a shaman. Today, Ger Vang honors both worlds—the discipline and knowledge from his business background and the deep spiritual traditions passed down through his ancestors—using his gifts to guide, heal, and serve others.
